The "serpentaire" is a much charming
bird with soft, siky feathers who particularly enjoys snakes for
dessert. We, besides, are the result of two very crazy story-tellers,
history fanatics and costume nerds coming accross each other's path.
Those two like-minded maniacs will try to let you travel through time
and space and let you experience an evening of mystery and murder in
the peculiar atmosphere of the late victorian era.
Freeform murder parties are
the way which enables this time-traval. They are a kind of rolelaying
game, a game in which a group of players experiences an imaginary
adventure. Unlike in the "pen-and-paper" games, where the adventure is
told, the characters are actually present and interpreted by the
players, in a limited space where the game takes place, and in real
time, in other words, LIVE. Hence the name "LARP", Live Action Role
Playing game. Murder parties are a particular form of LARP. They are
often shorter, there are fewer players and the main goal is to solve
the mystery of a ... murder. as the name says.
Freeforms are based mainly on theatrical improvisation, so that there
is very little actual story-telling involved. Characters are defined by
their background, their past, their strenghts and weaknesses and their
goals. Then it's up to the player to use this information and play
according to said background, his desires and his own capacities.
There are precise security rules
involved, mainly for the fighting situations. Weapons are either fake
or latex ones, or the fithgint can be resolved via more symbolic rules.
Fighting between players require a great deal of fair play so as to
prevent any incident, and no breaking of those rules can be tolerated.
