Journée Grand Siècle - Vaux le Vicomte - june 18th 2006
With Heileen and De-Ravenne from LiveJournal, and a lot of polymonsters. Luckily, we came accross a group of really well dressed folks picknicking in style.

Bustles in Paris - Musée du Louvre - march 18th 2007
With the same ones, save the monsters. we visited the Napoleon III appartments and some of the furniture rooms. The people at the museum were great, the food at the café Richelieu was great too. As was Starbucks.

Paniers, bumrolls and macarons - Versailles - june 3d 2007
18th century picnic near the castle, with Heileen, De-Ravenne, Mademoiselle Fi and a guest star : Kendra
We were not allowed past the gates in costume, and resigned not to visit, even in mundane clothing, due to a bad combination of luggage and local regulations. But the picnic was wonderful, the place was quiet, excpet for little girls wanting to konw more about françaises...
Années Folles - Musée Galliéra - february 22d 2008
Heileen and I visited the 1920s exhibit in flapper dresses. I can only recommend the exhibit and it's catalog, gorgeous stuff, even if you don't speak French.
Mor pictures from Heileen over here.
Bustles in Paris II - Musée Jaquemart-André - february 24th 2008
We chose Natural Form as our theme this year, which Heileen impersonated perfectly. Lisotchka came in a stunning red 1878 dress made by Phil, and I ventured into reform dress with a uncorsetted 1881 Avant-Garde gown. A prefect afternoon in a wonderful museum, the museum people were charming, and the café was exceptionally yummy.
More pictures over here, by Lisotchka and Heileen.

Mademoiselle Fi's hen party - june 8th 2008
We had tea and yummy food in a park nearby. With Lucie (the photographer), Mélanie, myself and the star of the day. Costumes taken from our vast closets for the occasion.
